Mike Hampton's fiction has appeared in journals such as The Southeast Review, The Rio Grande Review, The Pacific Review,  3AM Magazine, and many others. His stories have also been anthologized in the collections "New Growth" published by The Jesse Stuart Foundation and "American Stories" which is to be published in Israel. He is a two-time finalist for The World's Best Short Short Story Prize and has given lectures at numerous colleges.

 

Mike's poetry has appeared in The Haight Ashbury Free Press and in Main Street Rag. His essays have appeared in ParadigmMe Three, and other publications. His humor has appeared online and in the anthology Mountain Man Dance Moves: The McSweeney's Book of Lists.

Mike has just completed his first short story cycle which revolves around strange love affairs, as well as his first novel. He is currently at work on a number of creative projects. Professionally he serves as an English faculty member at both UC Clermont and Northern Kentucky University.
